Since 2000, the Convocation has been an annual event that compliments Texas Tech University System's official graduation ceremonies held at the United Supermarkets Arena.

The 25th Annual Raiders Rojos December Graduation Convocation was an amazing event, that started with the serenade of the Mariachi de Oro group from Lubbock High School, who played before the start of the Convocation and also played the processional music that ushered the graduates into the hall. Raiders Rojos welcomed close to 100 graduates and their family and friends into the Frazier Alumni Pavilion on the campus of Texas Tech, with around 400 guests total for the winter celebration.

In a first for the event, Raiders Rojos, in addition to providing all attendees complimentary Serape Stoles, also did a Door Prize drawing at the end of the event - giving away 4 autographed items from star Texas Tech athletes. These items included a signed Football & 2 Football Magazines by multi-national award-winner Jacob Rodriguez of the Big 12 Champion Red Raider Football Team, and a signed softball by 2x National Pitcher of the Year Nijaree Canady of the College World Series Finalist Red Raider softball team. Whlie the event is centered around celebrating the graduates huge educational accomplishment, providing these amazing prizes only capped off a wonderful night.

In what has become a staple in our calendar, Raiders Rojos extended a special congratulations message to this year’s graduates, and wished them well in their next steps of their career.
